Events To Suit You - Events Designed With YOU In Mind
Just when you thought my weekend would stop there.......

I've had a busy weekend! Along with the King/Hawkins wedding, I was also one of the 100 vendors for the Bridal Show that was held at DoubleTree Hotel and Conference Center in Chesterfield, MO. There were over 2,000 brides in attendance. In addition to meeting new brides and grooms, I met other vendors. My booth was acknowledged as one of the "Best Decorated" booths there. Thanks Steve Vest of St. Louis Bridal.
I must tell you about the vendors that I had the pleasure of meeting and networking with.  I've never eaten so many chocolates and won so many trips before (Have Plans Will Travel-THANKS GENEVA) in my life!  Savvi's Formalwear, Trotter Photography, Genesis Catering, Complete Music, Doubletree Hotels and so many more!  It was awesome!  I hope to see you in attendance on Sunday, October 18th from Noon until 4:00 at Harrah's St. Louis Casino & Hotel. Also, take the time to pick up the new edition of St. Louis' Best Bridal and, I don't know, just flip to page 185.  Also, pick up a copy of "Let's Party", which is also presented by the editors of St. Louis' Best Bridal.  Go to page 9 and look at the advertisement on the right side............  Are you surprised????

It's Sunday, August 2nd, and I'm still recooperating from Dwight and Christian Lomax, Sr.  What a beautiful wedding.  The colors were, palamino, cafe, and mocha and the theme was "A Fairytale".  The wedding took place at Prince of Peace MB Church where Pastor Willie E. Kilpatrick is the Senior Pastor.  The bridesmaides wore floor-length gowns in mocha with a palomino sash and each bridesmaid cried as they walked down the aisle!  Amazing!  The groom was very handsome in his Savvi tuxedo.  I chose some greenery to accent and set off the tones.  The reception site was Knights of Columbus Hall and each table was decorated with 24" crystal vases with decorative accents which indeed complimented the color scheme.  I had the priviledge of working with SJF Catering and Serieta J. Floyd is the chief chef.  I also worked with Bill Middlebrooks of Bill's Video U and I know that the video will work out great.  Bill and I have been working together for 15 years now so I have no doubt regarding the turnout of the final project.

Wedding Wonderland (Debra) didn't let me down!  The cake was a gorgeous four-tiered cake in the exact colors of the wedding.  The evening couldn't have been more magical and I thank Dwight and Christian for choosing Events To Suit You for their wedding day.

I had a wonderful and exciting day on Sunday, 18th at the Bridal expo at Harrah's Casino.  The sponsor was Saint Louis Best Bridal.  There were wall-to-wall vendors in the lower level, upstairs, and at an extended area.  Over 1000 brides were in attendance.  I, along with my Diva Dream Team, was also in attendance and I must thank the "Flower Divas", Kathy's Silks, and my administrative assistant-Cathy Anderson for coming out and making my booth one of the best.  The live flowers, silk flowers, decorations, and cake were excellent.  Speaking of the cake: You know that you have a good cake when other bakers and cake vendors rave about it.  Way to go Sandy!  Sandy is the baker and cake designer for Events To Suit You.  She hand makes them with love and the quality that you cannot get from a large bakery or company.  I cannot give names of the companies who sampled time and time again (to protect the guilty) but let's just say it was more than a compliment to have them come to our booth.  Please stay tuned for more pictures along with the photos from the August 22nd nuptials.  I've been so swamped that I've been unable to update the blog.  Happy reading....

2009 has been a wonderful and a sad year for ETSY.  I am grateful for the blessings that God has bestowed on our company.  More and more brides are calling which means more wonderful business and the opportunity to allow others dreams to become a reality.  The staff has also increased.  Kyone Huddleston-Loveless is the Administrative Assistant and she is awesome.  In addition to her work ethics, she and I have been friends for over two years.  I'm glad that she has agreed to step up to the plate.  Thanks Kyone!!
Sadness because the person who convinced me to pursue this has gone to be with Our Lord.  I miss my father, Dea. Willie B. Russell, very much, but I am filled with joy to know that he would be pleased with our success.  Love ya, Dad.

Well Monday was supposed to be a day of relaxation and enjoying the legacy of Dr. Marin Luther King Jr., but in my world that wasn't so.  I spent the day with TWO (yes, you read correctly) brides at the same time.  I really was a wonderful day.  Pamela Rice will exchange vows with Officer Lee Tucson on September 18, 2010 and Vickie Allen will say "I Do" to Officer Dwayne Ursin on February 20, 2010.  From rentals, to petals, to swatches (even a stop at Taco Bell) was done on this day.  I know that these two brides are excited and it tickles me.

Today is my "Alex Alone" day.  Alex is by July bride and she is the most laid back bride that anyone can ask for.  She not only has me as a coordinator but a talented family and future-in-laws who are an awesome asset.  Alex and Sean will be joined as one on July 3, 2010 at Macedonia Church in Illinois.  Could it be?  Yes, you've guessed it!  Alex is the granddaughter of Pastor Norman E. Owens, Sr. and he will officiate.  This will be, beyond the shadow of a doubt, the best July wedding!  Stay tuned...........
